Abstract (EN)

The reactions of individuals working in organizations to the events they experience provide significant information about their personality traits. The attitudes of individuals towards negative situations and events form the basis of whistleblowing behavior. In this sense, people seek solutions by reporting the negative behaviors and events they witness in their work lives and environments to their superior managers. In terms of corporate culture, such behavior by organizational employees depends on their personality characteristics and has positive effects on the organization. At the same time, individuals who show whistleblowing behavior have a high tendency to show organizational citizenship behavior. Those who show organizational citizenship behavior reveal themselves as desired individuals within the organization. The aim of this study is to establish the relationship between the tendency of employees in the organization to exhibit whistleblowing behavior as a result of their personality characteristics and organizational citizenship behavior. For this purpose, data was collected from approximately 311 people through a survey and the collected data was analyzed with Structural Analysis Modeling. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that personality traits were effective on whistleblowing behavior, but organizational citizenship behavior did not have a moderating effect on this relationship.
