Organizational silence perceptions of employees by personality types: A research on public and private sectors

Abstract (EN)

In this study today recognized as one of the dimensions of organizational behavior and increasingly becoming an important issue organizational silence and personality typology to examine the concept of and has made an effort to uncover the relationship between each other. Taking advantage of the many scientific data for this practice was carried out first and then dealt with the theoretical part. Three main hypotheses and seven sub hypothesis in this study was created. In a conscious way in the organization it is considered to be a silent demonstration of organizational silence by determining the attitude of those who prefer working personality typology is considered the measures to be taken and can eliminate the negative effects of organizational silence can be more efficient organizational activities. This research has been carried out in the province of Sivas bounds by the sample size randomly selected public, private and mixed sector employees (560) were applied. Two main hypotheses generated by the results obtained in this study (H1 and H2) with a sub-hypothesis (H1.1) has been adopted, other hypotheses were rejected. As a result, organizational silence perception of employees showed differences according to sector and personality typology also silence perception does not change has the same personality typology of employees in different sectors. In addition, with demographic variables examined the relationship between organizational silence and personality in the research but any relationship between demographic variables and personality typologies have been detected. However, employees of organizational silence perception with the demographic variables, employee training, personnel situation and the level of income has arisen as a negative relationship. This study have contributed to the development of literature related to organizational silence perception of employees and personality typologies.
