The analysis of Ibrahims's Saga Book (Text-examination-dictionary)

Prophet stories and saint tales, the first examples of which have been encountered in Anatolia since the XIVth century, have begun to be compiled in order to enable the moral concepts and Islamic ideas to gain attraction. Oral and written works have been done on notably prophet stories the roots of which comes from The Quran and hadiths; and moral personality and social lives of many saints from Islamic World like Bayezid-i Bestami and Fudayl b. Iyad, as they serve as a model. In this study, handwritten copy of an anonymous manuscript coded as 06 Mil Yz A 1981 in National Library has been obtained and a text from the copy has been transferred to the transcription letters and translated protecting the language properties of the period. While studying the lives of Hz. Muhammed and his son Hz. Ibrahim has been the priority, all the other persons, religious and mystical figures, holly beings and place names, which were identified under the title of The Book of Ibrahim Legend, have been studied and clarified. Being about the death of Ibrahim who is the son of Hz. Muhammed the aforementioned study is written especially in Old Anatolian Turkish and has importance in terms of representing the properties of this language. Key words: Hz. Ibrahim b. Muhammed, Hz.
