An analysis of ten classical guitar etudes in terms of melody, harmony, rhythm and technique

In this study, 30 etudes from 7 books and methods frequently used in the Classical Guitar training in the Music Education Departments of the Faculty of Education were selected in the first place and 10 etudes were determined in consultation with 8 expert guitar educators. Melodic, harmonic, rhythmic and techniques of these etudes were analyzed. This research is a qualitative research and it is a descriptive study and a survey model. Melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, and technical analysis of the surveys were carried out. From this point of view, it can be thought that a musical content analysis about the etudes was made. As a result of the research, the technical and rhythmic contents of the works and the harmonic and melodic ideas applied by the composers to the studies are indicated in findings section.
