Abstract (EN)

This study that we examine the logical and jurisprudential syllogism understanding of el Ghazali consists of three chapters except the entrance and conclusion. We aim at finding out whether there is interaction between the two types of syllogism or not and whether he suggests logical syllogism in placee of jurisprudential syllogism or not. In the first chapter, we examine el Ghazali's understanding of logical syllogism, in the second chapter, we examine his understanding of jurispuridential syllogism. And lastly in the third chapter we find out the differences and similarities of these two as expressed or indicated by el Ghazali. We have seen that el Ghazali suggests some new terms instead of traditional logical ones and he suggests logical syllogism as a method of inference in islamic jurisprudence without cancelling jurisprudential syllogism. Keywords: Logical syllogism, Jurisprudential syllogism, Ghazali, El-Mustasfa.
