Abstract (EN)
Some letters and/or words available at the beginning of the Sura in Qur'an are named as 'Alhuruf almuqatta/detached letters'. These detached letters had been studied from the very beginning of Islamic Studies. The Scholars who studied this subject have had various understanding on the meaning and the importance of them and some of the comments made was far from the actual meaning of these detached letters. This paper is essentially investigates the comments made on the detached letters from the classical period through the modern time scholarship via using analytical methodology. The paper also focuses and evaluates some of the interpretations and emphasize the importance of some comments in relation to the Qur'anic Context.
