Abstract (EN)

Aim: We aimed to evaluate the incidence of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and the pregnancy success rate in infertile patients who underwent GnRH agonist long protocol and GnRH antagonist protocol in our clinic. Material and Method: In this study, between December 2006 and September 2019, patients aged 19-41 who applied to Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine Assisted Reproductive Technologies with the complaint of infertility and underwent controlled ovarian hyperstimulation were included. Result: A statistically significant difference was observed between the trigger day, the number of follicles ≥10 mm, the number of follicles measuring, the trigger day E2 values (P <0.05). İn patient with mild, moderate, severe, and critical forms of the syndrome are defined follow up E2 means 3680, 5955, 4241. A total of 5112 cycles were performed, and the rate of developing OHSS in 70 cycles was 1.6%. OHSS recurred in 6 patients in 70 cycles and OHSS developed in 3 cycles in 1 patient. 31 (50%) pregnancies were obtained from 62 patients included in the study. Pregnancy is related to the severity of OHSS, and the rate of continuing pregnancy was 46%, abortion rate was 6%. Conclusion: Multivariate analysis revealed that, pregnancy>3000 pg/ml E2 values and presence of PCOS were found to be an independent risk factors for OHSS. Treatment of the high risk cases should be individual. During the treatment process of these patients, follicular development should be closely monitored using ultrasonography and E2 follow-up. Key words: OHSS incidans, GnRH agonist long protokol ve GnRH antagonist protokol.
