Demographical analysis of patients, taken radioactive iodine teraphy for the differenciated thyroid carsinoma in our clinic

Our aim is to determine the variability of good differenciated thyroid carcinom on sex and age,factors effect prognose and to reveal risk factors which effect mortality and morbidity of the disease and the relation between them. Our retrospective examination determined that 550 patients who have taken ablation therapy on 2008-2010 consist 450 female and 98 male.The rate of female/male is 4.46/1 in differentiated tyroid ca, 3.69/1 in papillaria ca, 6/1 in folliculer ca, 4/1 in micropapillaria.Our patients' average diagnosis age is 43.9+/-13.5, ranging age 15-84.The average diagnosis age is 43.2+/- 13.7 for female while 47.3+/-12.5 for male.It has been found papillaria ca is most rated in types of tumor,%95.8.The second most rated type is folliculer ca,%3.9,and the third one hurtle cell ca,%0.4. In all type of cancers female patients were more than males.The examination has shown that the average diagnosis age of papillaria thyroid cancer is 43.9+/-13.3,folliculer thyroid cancer 45.7+/-18.9; but there were not any statistically significant difference between the average diagnosis age for folliculer cancer and for papillaria cancer.Differenciated thyroid cancer prognose of the female patients is better than males.The prognose of the patients (T1 and T2 ) whose primer tumor diameter is less than 4 cm and limited in the thyroid tissue is better than whose ( T3, T4a, T4b) primer tumor is larger than 4cm and better than invasioned out of thyroid.Keywords: Papillary thyroid ca, Follicular thyroid ca, Prognostic, Risk factors
