Özet (EN)
Objective: This study retrospectively analyzed the sociodemographic characteristics, diagnostic and therapeutic processes, as well as pathological and radiological data of patients diagnosed with renal cancer between 2000 and 2024 in the Urology Department of Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital. The aim was to evaluate the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of renal tumors, analyze treatment outcomes, and establish a data registry that could contribute to the literature. Materials and Methods: A total of 550 patients who underwent surgical treatment for renal tumors and had histopathological confirmation were included in the study. Data on age, gender, presenting symptoms, comorbidities, tumor type and stage, surgical approach (radical or partial nephrectomy), nephrometry scores (R.E.N.A.L., PADUA), pathological findings, and follow-up results were retrospectively analyzed. Results: The mean age of the patients was 58.7 ± 12.1 years, with a male-tofemale ratio of 1.44:1 (325/225). The mean tumor diameter was 3.8 ± 1.5 cm. The most common histological subtype was clear cell renal cell carcinoma. According to Kaplan–Meier analysis, the five-year overall survival rate was 84.5%, while the disease-free survival rate was approximately 71%. Tumor size, pathological stage, and Fuhrman grade were significantly associated with survival outcomes (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The findings of this study demonstrate that the clinical and pathological characteristics of our patients are consistent with those reported in the international literature. Survival outcomes were also comparable, underscoring the prognostic significance of tumor size, stage, and nuclear grade. These results emphasize the importance of early diagnosis, accurate staging, and appropriate surgical management in renal cell carcinoma.
