Strategic human resources management in SME

SUMMARY This study aims to explore the structures of human resources department and strategic human resources management in small and medium sized enterprises which have a great employment share in Turkish economy. Hence, these enterprises play important rolles in economic and social structure of Turkey. The study is based on an examination of personnel/human resources department of small and medium sized establishments located in Gebze. To this end, we conducted a survey with the related department managers of these enterprises. In the first section, a brief information about small and medium sized enterprises is introduced. Next, strategic human resources management in small and medium sized enterprises has been examinated. Finally, the survey results are presented and some evaluations are made. VII
