Abstract (EN)
The epics, which have survived from very ancient times and took many years to form, have generally appeared as reflections of cultural tradition. The structure and the emergence process of the epic products of the Turkish nation were generally the same. The Koblandı Batır epic, which attracted the attention of researchers such as Malik Gabdullin, Saken Seyfullin, Muhtar Avezov, P.A. Falev, Friedrich Wilhelm Radloff, Ibıray Altınsarin, Şakir İbrayev has a great importance in the Kazakh epic tradition. It is not correct to consider this epic only as a literary work and it should be seen as a way of life. In this study, it is aimed to examine the historical and mythological elements in the Kobland Batır Epic, which is the Kazakh epic. Historical and mythological elements that can be sensed by a conscious reader have become the subject of the study. In the study, firstly, Kazakh history and epic tradition were discussed and the subject was introduced. After briefly mentioning the compilation of the epic and the lives of the epic tellers, the general features of the epic are explained. After the summary of the epic, which was examined in terms of language, style and form, was given, the historical and mythological elements in the epic were discussed.
