Abstract (EN)

The subject of the study to document of 165 artifacts belonging to the SemahatNusret Arsel Textile Collection located at in Koç University Vehbi Koç Ankara Studies Research Center. The selection of artifact has traces of Anatolian culture and gives information about traditional life. The collection generally consists of household items. The product variety is quite large and they are obtained from traditional textiles by weaving, knitting, felt and emborodiery techniques. The studies have been conducted on the functional variety, periodic information, material, technique, pattern, color and composition features, deterioration and current situation of the artifacts. The resulting data were recorded and documented with the documentation reports prepared according to the technique of the artifacts. These reports also include photographs and technical drawings of the artifacts. Thus, the selection of artifacts was protected and catalogued by document using textual and visual methods from documentation methods.
