Abstract (EN)

Stress has turned out to be a fact that is experienced in an intense way of today?s world. It is getting more important to find out the meaning of stress and its effects in a time where change is enormously fast. Stress comes out as an important fact when we take a close look at education community. One necessary condition of carrying out educational activities on a desired level is obtained by determining the harmful aspects of stress and canalizing them into a positive manner. Starting out from the fact that living without stress is impossible would take us to the right applications faster. Determining stress sources and directing stress into a course where positive outcomes might be obtained by applying a rationalist method should be aimed instead of trying to eliminate stress. Aim of this study is, to offer proposals and solutions by determining stress sources, and under which titles they can be evaluated in the meaning of classification, exposing how the stress management should be implemented and also finding out deficiencies in order to direct stress into a positive way among primary school teachers. Questionnaire application has been made as a methodology in this study. Area study has been questioned on 96 Primary School teachers. Teachers have been requested to evaluate the questions regarding stress sources, communication, decision making, institutional structure/aim/management, workload management, job security, working environment, and situation evaluation by the given appropriate variables in accordance with the Likert scale. According to the results of the analyses, it is found out that; teachers require stress sources to be classified upon an investigation on personal and institutional basis and a rationalist stress management method to be implemented.
