Abstract (EN)

In this study, the growth and resistance parameters of two species of root-knot nematodes, Meloidogyne incognita, Meloidogyne javanica and Stem bulp nematode, Ditylenchus dipsaci, which are important plant parasitic nematodes that cause significant losses in agriculture, were investigated on 26 sesame cultivars and lines. Sesame cultivars and lines inoculated with M. incognita and M. javanica were below root galling scale 2, in all sesame cultivars in both nematode species; When the reproductive values (MR) were examined, they were all found to be below one. In the results, M. incognita and M. javanica fed on sesame plants and formed small root galls. Since nematodes do not reproduces eggs, 2nd stage infective larvae did not occur. When the reproduction values (MR) of sesame cultivars and lines inoculated with D. dipsaci are examined, it is seen that all values are below one. D. dipsaci individuals partially penetrated the root, but reproduction did not occur. According to the data obtained in this case, it was determined that all sesame varieties and lines were highly resistant to all three nematode species.
