Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of Collage Painting Technique on the abstract painting skills of Fine Arts High School students. The research study was carried out in the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. The study group of the research consisted of 10 students studying in the 10th grade of Elazig Kaya Karakaya Fine Arts High School. A five-week plan has been prepared. Research is poor empirical research. First of all, pre-test and preliminary abstract painting work were applied to the single-subject study group. After five weeks of collage technique information was given, a final test and a final abstract painting study were made. Pre-test and post-test results were evaluated with an achievement scale. The abstract painting works of the study group were evaluated by the teachers who worked as a visual arts teacher for at least 3 years using the Graded Rating Scale. The findings of the study showed that the academic achievement levels in collage and abstract painting after the experimental procedure were significantly higher than the academic achievement levels in collage and abstract painting before the experimental procedure. In addition, it is determined that the abstract painting applications carried out with the collage painting technique after the experimental process and the abstract painting studies are more successful than the abstract painting studies before the experimental process. According to the pre-test and post-test score differences obtained, the effect of the collage technique on the achievement of abstract painting was tested positively.
