Özet (EN)

In this study, Explict Dynamics and Composite Preppost modules of the ANSYS package program were used to reduce experimentally production and experiment costs and to analyze very different design models quickly. AUTODYN was used under Explict Dynamics as the dynamic solver. Layered composite material was designed for the analyses. In addition, a different ceramic layer was used in front of this material, which would cause the kinetic energy of the bullet to be spent by breaking it. Silicon Carbide (SiC) ceramic material was chosen for this layer. Al5083-H116 Aluminum alloy is used between the ceramic layer and the composite layer for the armor. Finally, the composite layer was formed from layered composite material by using UD T700/3234 epoxy carbon fiber material with ANSYS CompositePrepPost. As for the bullet, 5.56x45 mm NATO M193 was chosen and the speed of hitting the target was chosen as 850 m/s. As a result of the analysis made in the simulation program, the effect of materials of different thicknesses on ballistic shots was observed. The results were obtained by solving the combinations that would take time and cost in practice in the computer environment. Ballistic performances were investigated for different fiber angles and layer thicknesses and the results were shown.
