Abstract (EN)

Composite panels are widely used and preferred in the recent years due to their benefits such as compatibility with different structures, practicability, and easily findability in the field of civil engineering. In the scope of this thesis, composite panels are analyzed for its mechanical properties due to its applicability to both interior and exterior places. The aim of the thesis is the production of high performance composite panels depending on the result of the experiments that conducted during the study. Composite panels are produced by holding the same water/cement ratio based on three types such as cement based batch glass fiber, continuous glass fiber and non-glass fiber. The production of cement based glass fiber consist of 1,5 % and 2,5 % glass fiber percentage by weight. In this study, composite panels that are widely used in the civil engineering field and the produced materials are subjected to bending, tension, water absorbtion, expansion ratio experiments. As a result of a four-point bending test on commercially accepted panel materials, it is observed that cement-based cellulosic fibers have high-fold strength while taking a sudden intrusion behavior. Textile combined cement-based panel materials have high energy ingest capacity due to continuous usage of fiber, the same platform and higher adhesion between matrix and reinforcement. Its bending strength is lower than other panels. In the thesis of samples being produced industrially in the sector of water absorption and expansion ratio accepted by a panel production has been shown to have a lower value. The amount of fibers, the effect of water absorption and rate of expansion was observed. As a result of the tensile test performed on the panel cement-based composite panel with textile reinforcement has been observed to sudden rupture creating multiple cracks. Cellulosic fibrous cements based panel that has the highest tensile strength in determining the amount of deformation was found to be under the other panel. Cement-based cellulosic fiber panels exhibit a brittle fracture behavior without multiple cracks despite the high flexural strength. Depending on the low deformation capacity of the panels has a low refractive power. Textile-reinforced cementitious composite panels, by forming multiple cracks under impact load through the textile reinforcement used and shows behavior by highly ductile deformation. Therefore, these panels have a high fracture energy. The result that the continuous glass fiber composite fiber percentage increase in weight was observed that the amount of tensile deformation of the composite in the direction of increasing its effect is to increase strength effects were obtained. Discrete glass fiber composite is determined that the amount of deformation increases with increasing the amount of fiber. Industrial production as performed in the sector panel accepted dissertation samples and scope of production elasticity modulus of the panel according to the results of the tensile tests conducted on mixtures performed were calculated. According to the obtained results, it was found that reduction of the production is performed in discrete glass fiber mixture ratio increases the elasticity modulus. The mixture held with continuous production of glass fiber could not be determined in a systematic behavior. Industrially panel production elasticity modulus textile reinforced cementitious has been determined that there is a high deformation under a very low load case of the panel according to the other panel. Tensile strength is the highest cellulose based fiber cement panels are panels with the highest modulus of elasticity. Modulus of elasticity of cement-based wood chip panel and magnesium oxide based textile-reinforced panel sample average has increased compared to the other panel. Discrete glass fiber-reinforced cement produced under experimental work based on the results obtained from tests on composites; increasing the amount of glass fiber increases, the bending strength increased by the amount of deformation after break, fracture energy increases. Continuous glass fiber reinforced concrete, in order to fully realize the matrix fibers penetration, a systematic increase in strength with the amount of fibers could not be detected. Water absorption is conducted on panel materials and magnesium oxide based composite panel was found to have the highest water absorption ratio. The water absorption capacity of cellulose and wood fiber panels are higher than textile reinforced cementitious panels. It is noted that the result of high ratio of cellulose and wood fibers depending on its high water absorption capacity. The water absorption capacity values are closed to each other of produced cement based glass fiber samples and their water absorption level is low compared to other panel material's level. As a result of expansion contraction analysis magnesium oxide based composite panel which has high water absorption capacity has also the highest contraction ratio although produced cement based glass fiber materials has the smallest expansion contraction ratio. It is noted that due to the low water absorption ratio, the produced glass fiber composite panel has the smallest contraction ratio. During the assessment of the result of bending strength, fracture energy, water absorption and expansion shrinkage analysis as a whole, in the scope of the thesis, production of cement-based composites containing held by weight 2,5% glass fiber has high bending strength, showing ductile behavior under load impact, low water absorption. This work process based on experimental results and observations obtained in studies subsequent high energy absorption capacity and flexural strength to be used in combination to achieve optimum continuous and chopped glass fibers in the body. Subsequent studies, penetration problems occurring in continuous fibers must be taken into account.
