Abstract (EN)
Labor and job satisfaction in particular do have great importance in thehospitality organizations within tourism sector, as a labor intensive industry, ascustomers receiving the service and the staff providing the service are in a face-to-face relation. Because personnel?s job satisfaction in the hospitalityorganizations has a direct impact on customer?s satisfaction, service quality,and achievement of the firm.The studies done in this field indicate that there is a relationship betweenthe factors that increase the motivation of the personnel and job satisfaction.Thus, it is important that personnel motivation should be given greatimportance in order to achieve job satisfaction. On the other hand, it would bepossible to achieve the most effective personnel motivation by means ofincentive tools oriented at their needs.In this framework, the purpose of this study is to determine and analyzethe effects of motivation and incentive tools used in the hospitality organizationson job satisfaction of personnel. To this end, firstly the studies carried out onmotivation and job satisfaction have been examined. The subject has beenexamined through a field study covering the personel employed at five and four-star hospitality organizations in Izmir in order to identify the effect ofmotivation and incentive tools on job satisfaction. In this study, it has beenfound that there is a great relationship between the incentive tools - that can beclassified under four groups in the hospitality organizations as economic, social,psychological and organizational-managerial tools-and job satisfaction, andthat they do have great impact on it.Key Words: 1) Motivation, 2) Job Satisfaction, 3) Incentive Tools, 4) TourismSector, 5) Hospitality Organizations
