Abstract (EN)

Comparison of cerebral blood circulation of fetuses with congenital heart disease with healthy fetuses Objective: The aim is to compare the serebral blood circulation of fetuses with congenital heart disease, followed in our clinic, with healthy fetuses and to determine the possible relationship in terms of neurological development of fetuses with congenital heart disease. Materıal and Methods: This study is a prospective clinical trial. A total of 37 singleton pregnant women in the 18-28 gestastional week, who didn't include any risk fctors, who applied to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology between 19 December 2019 and 16 january 2020, were included in the study.pregnancy, age, gravida, parity, gestastional week, fetal biometric measurements and estimated fetal weight (EFW) of all participants were recorded.the research group consisted of sigle pregnancies betweenthe ages 18-35 who were admitted to the pregnant outpatient clinic for routine follow-up, who were pregnant between 18-28 weeks, had no complaints, were sent for suspected congenital heart disease, or were diagnosed and referred for advancd examination and treatment(n=16) occurred. the control group(n=21) consisted of single pregnancies between the age 18-35 who were pregnant between the week of applying to the pregnant outpatient clinic for routine follow-up, without any complaints. Fetal MCA PI, MCA RI, MCA PSV, S/D parameters measured for each fetus were recorded on ultasonography. Statistical analysis was done in computer environment with Mann Whitney U test. P value <0,05 was considered statistically significant.Data are given as mean ± SD. Results: MCA PSV, MCA RI and MCA vessel diameter were higher than control, S/D ratio and MCA PI were statistically lower than control, compared to those not in fetuses with congenital heart disease during pregnancy. Conclusion: These parametres related to cerebral circulation in ultrasonography in fetuses with congenital heart disease; it will enable early postnatal intervention and contribute o the development of early prenatal invertentions. More cases and more studies are needed to develop the changes described with this study and to determine their relationship in terms of later neurodevelopment . Key Words: congenital heart diasese , middle cerebral arter, MCA, cerebral circulation
