Abstract (EN)
In this study; in order to determine the permeability of the porous stone used in the consolidation test and to evaluate it using the impedance factor, the permeability coefficients of the porous stones used in the consolidation test were measured and the suitability of these stones was evaluated using the impedance factor defined in ASTM D2435 (2011). For this purpose, the permeability of 16 porous stones obtained from 8 different manufacturers was measured. 3 of these stones are unused (new) and the others are stones that have been used in the consolidation test (old) for at least 5 years. The permeability of the stones was carried out using a prototype device at hand. According to the results obtained, it has been determined that the permeability coefficient of the porous stones varies according to the pressure of the water entering the stone. Accordingly, it was evaluated that the permeability coefficient of porous stones should be measured under the pressures applied in the consolidation test. When the suitability of the stones measured in this study was evaluated according to the impedance factor, it was found that it was suitable for soils with a permeability coefficient lower than k=10-6 m/sec.
