Examination of contrabass training programme at the level of objectives: A proposol of model

SUMMARY EXAMINATION OF CONTRABASS TRAINING PROGRAMME AT THE LEVEL OF OBJECTIVES: A PROPOSAL OF MODEL This thesis aims to examination of contrabass courses given in Division of Music Teachers in Fine Arts Education Departments at the level of objectives and to reach a proposal of model as the result. At the first step, the problems that will be answered in the study are defined and the aim, importance, assumption and limitation of study are determined. Then, the theoretical base of the study is formed with the concepts of education, music, music education and contrabass; and the elements that form the educational objectives are explained. The objectives of string instruments education in different countries are investigated to obtain information about the practical level and are used as the basis for the interview that is realised to determine educational objectives of contrabass courses in Turkey. In this context, the questions of interview are prepared for the teachers of Music Teacher Divisions in Fine Arts Education Departments and answers of the interviews are collected and evaluated. At the and of the thesis, the results of the interviews are compared and discussed with the examples of other countries and finally a proposal of model is presented for the contrabass courses at the educational objectives level in Turkey.
