Özet (EN)
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of premature birth on the receptive language, expressing language and articulation skills of children with speech disorders. The study included children with a mean age of 6.5 years and a mean age of 6.5 years, 19 female, 41 male, 30 preterm and 30 term born having language and speech disorder. The DENVER II development screening test, TİFALDİ and AAT, STAI and PARI were tested to all individuals. The results of DENVER II developmental screening test (p = 0.179) show that there was not found any difference between the preterm and term group. Significant differences were found in terms of the TIFALDI recipient language raw scores (p = 0.048) and TIFALDI recipient language standard scores (p = 0. 007). A statistically significant difference was found between TIFALDI expressive language raw scores (p = 0.038) of preterm and term group. A statistically significant difference was found between the TIFALDI expressive language standard scores (p = 0.005). According to the AAT test results, it was found that there was no statistically significant difference between AAT raw points (p = 0.988) and standart scores (p = 0.284)of children with preterm and term born speech disorder and also it shows that those children has reterdation as per ages. As a result, in the present study shows that preterm children with speech disorder had retardation compared to term group on receptive and expressive language development. It was determined that the two groups had different development but articulation development was not affected from preterm labor in children with speech disorders. As sub-parameters of Family Life and Rearing Attitude Scale, excessive control (p = 0.711), pressure-discipline (0.932), denial of housewife role (p = 0.734), and husband-wife incompatibility (p = 0.734) did not any difference between preterm and term group with speech disorders. There were statistically significant differences between the preterm and term groups in terms of democratic attitude and equality recognition (p = 0.042). However, there were no statistically significant differences between terms of State Anxiety Scale scores (p = 0.853) and Trait Anxiety Scale scores (p = 0.641) with STAI subscales.
