Abstract (EN)

The construction industry is one of the leading sectors for the country's economies. The housing sub-sector also has a significant share in the construction industry. Since construction projects are usually costly investments, the investment decision is seen as the most important phase of the project from the point of the contractor and they also need to analyze macro and micro economic indicators, technological developments etc. In this study, the factors affecting the investment decisions in the construction sector have been determined on the basis of Porter (1980) Five Force Models. In the scope of the study, various structural models were developed and structural equation modeling analysis was applied to these models. In the analyzed models, it is found that the threat of entry and bargaining power of the costumer and supplier had a positive and significant effect on competition.
