Abstract (EN)

Technology offers new services, new devices that are developing day by day and makes people's lives easier. However, base stations, power transmission lines, mobile phones or any electrical device can emit electromagnetic waves continuously and cause electromagnetic pollution. Electromagnetic pollution cannot be detected by sensory organs. Therefore, it cannot be easily noticed by living beings. For this reason, it is important to investigate the effects that may occur in short or long term on living beings. In this study, electromagnetic radiation levels were measured in some regions of Konya in order to create a scientific resource and the measurements were examined in the light of national and international limit values. Measurements are given in two main headings as closed and open areas. Intensive locations such as shopping malls, hospitals, bus stops were especially preferred in the measurements. It has been observed that the data obtained as a result of the measurements are below the national and international limit values. In this context, individual and public measures that can be taken against electromagnetic fields are mentioned.
