Abstract (EN)

Today, Occupational Health and Safety is an important problem for working life. In order to evaluate, grading and reduce the harmful effects of the developing industrialization to acceptable levels through prevention and control processes, it is necessary to analyze the risks posed by industrial activities with the appropriate methods. As a result of environmental policies, high level of investments are made in wastewater treatment plants all over the world in order to prevent the wastewater generated by urban and industrial activities from damaging the nature. If the necessary precautions cannot be taken within the scope of occupational health and safety in these environmentally friendly treatment plants, both material and moral damages will be inevitable. In this study, the hazards arising from Konya Wastewater Treatment Plant's operations and the extent of the risk levels will be determined. This risk analysis is carried out using the Fine-Kinney method. After the completion of the risk analysis study, what kind of accidents may occur in the treatment plants and the threats that cause these accidents are discussed. Suggestions have been made for proactive, preventive and reactive measures, in which the current activity can be secured.
