Prof. Dr. Mehmet TEMELIn this study, the pollen concentration and diversity in the atmosphere of Konyaprovince is determined by gravimetric method between January 2005 and January2006. During one year, the specimens with glicerin-gelatine in Durham apparatus wereplaced on the roof of an appartment in Alaaddin Hill. They were changed once in aweek and studied on them. Pollen grains of 30 taxa were identified. 19 of them arebelong to arboreal plants, and 11 of them are belong to non-arboreal plants. Theamounts of pollens in cm2 were given in tables and graphs as weekly, monthly. Alsothe pollen calender of Konya province was prepared by using the number of pollengrains falling on cm2 in a week.As a result, the amount of pollen grains were 4420 during 2005. 83,64 % of them arein arboreal plants, 16,15 % in non- arboreal plants and 0,20 % in unidentified plantpollens. Pinus sp., Fraxinus sp., Cupressaceae, Ailanthus sp., Platanus sp., andPopulus sp. in arboreal plants and Chenopodiaceae / Amaranthaceae, Leguminosae,Gramineae, and Urticaceae in non- arboreal plants are mostly found.2007, 62 pagesKeywords: Pollen, Pollen calender, Konyaii
