Abstract (EN)
Konyalı Mehmed Vehbi is a scientist and politician who lived between 1861-1949. Mehmed Vehbi, who has the identity of a professor, commentator and deputy, has contributed very valuable works to the world of science. Hulâsatu'l-Beyân fî Tafsîri'l-Qur'ân is his most important work. This study aims to examine Mehmed Vehbi's life, his scientific and political aspects, his works and the method he followed in his work Hulâsatu'l-Beyân fî Tefsîri'l-Qur'ân. The study consists of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction part, the purpose, subject and scope of the study are discussed and information is given about the method followed and the sources used. In the first part, Mehmed Vehbi's life and works and the process of printing his commentary are explained. In the second part, the general framework of the work was emphasized and its narrative and insight aspects were examined. In the third chapter, the work was examined in terms of Qur'an sciences and Mehmed Vehbi's views were recorded with examples. In addition, in this section, criticisms of the work are evaluated and a summary comparison between the Ottoman copy and the Latin version is included. In the conclusion section, the findings were analyzed and evaluated.Keywords: Tafsîr, method, Mehmed Vehbi, Hulâsatu'l-Beyân.
