Abstract (EN)
Twenty different age, weight and sexless dogs brought to our clinic for orthopedic operation were divided into two groups, one group was ETE (n=10) and the other group was LMA (n=10) and Isofloran anesthesia was administered and blood gases (pH, pO2, pCO2, HCO3 , BE, Anion Gap), biochemical (Glucose, Urea, Creatinine, ALT, AST, Total Protein, Na+, K+, Cl-, Mg++) hemogram (WBC, RBC, Hb, Hct, MCV, PLT), vital (Respiratory Frequency) , Pulse, Systolic Blood Pressure, Diastolic Blood Pressure, Mean Arterial Blood Pressure, Body Temperature, Iso %), Oxidative Stress (Cortisol, MDA, AOA) were compared in terms of consumed anesthetic substance parameters. In this study, in LMA and ETE groups, 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, post. operative 60. min. Statistical analyzes of Cortisol results, which is an important parameter in terms of Oxidative Stress, were performed in the past and in the LMA group; 7.551±2.493, 6.380±2.71, 6.380±2.71, 6.111±1.18, 6.118±1.72, 5.649±1.56, ng/ml; Mean Cortisol measurement values in the ETE group, respectively; It was recorded as 18.021±11.40, 15.456±12.60, 12.048±13.03, 6.368±2.74, 6.368±2.74, 5.451±2.45 ng/ml. When the findings obtained between the groups according to time were compared statistically, 0, 15, min. s were found to be statistically significant, being low. (p˂0.05). The findings obtained within the groups were statistically significant in terms of LMA-Cortisol value decreasing over time (p˂0.05). Malondialdehyde (MDA) results in the LMA group, respectively; It was recorded as 5.230±0.42, 4.903±0.66, 4.752±0.28, 4.676±0.44, 4.530±0.36, 4.339±0.42 nmol/ml. In the ETE group, respectively; 5.838±0.96, 5.401±0.52, 5.331±0.72, 4.998±0.53, 4.803±0.42, 4.687±0.32 nmol/ml were determined. When the results obtained between the groups according to time were compared statistically, it was not found significant (p>0.05). The findings obtained within the group were statistically significant in LMA, and the decrease in MDA value over time compared to ETE was found to be significant. (p˂0.05). Antioxidant Activity (AOA) measurement values are respectively; It was recorded as 9.436±0.57, 9.411±0.57, 9.569±0.54, 9.455±0.63, 9.518±0.65, 10.000±0.60 mmol/l. Mean AOA measurement values in the ETE group, respectively; It was recorded as 8.734±0.47, 8.709±0.48, 8.779±0.29, 8.696±0.46, 8.812±0.37, 9.009±0.21 mmol/l. When the findings obtained between the groups according to time were compared statistically, LMA, ETE 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, post. operative 60. min. LMA was found to be higher than the ETE value from the first time period and its value continued to increase even if there was not a big difference between them (p˂0.05). The findings obtained within the group were not found to be statistically significant (p>0.05). AST (U/L) results in the LMA group, respectively; It was recorded as 31.800±18.34, 29.333±17.49, 30.444±18.28, 31.000±17.62, 29.000±19.24, 39.800±24.62 U/L. In the ETE group, respectively; It was recorded as 29.320±14.71, 29.111±11.95, 26.900±12.23, 27.300±11.70, 28.800±12.66, 30.500±11.68 IU/L. When the results obtained between the groups according to time were compared statistically, it was not found significant (p>0.05). The findings obtained within the group were not found to be statistically significant (p>0.05). The creatinine results in the LMA group, respectively; It was recorded as 0.731±0.30, 0.654±0.31, 0.656±0.28, 0.702±0.26, 0.668±0.28, 0.652±0.23 mg/dl. In the ETE group, respectively; It was recorded as 0.698±0.15, 0.673±0.15, 0.651±0.15, 0.655±0.13, 0.650±0.14, 0.656±0.12 mg/dl. When the findings obtained according to time within the Urea (mg/dl) results in the LMA group, respectively; It was recorded as 20.160±7.28, 19.878±6.67, 20.889±5.28, 17.065±8.11, 18.488±4.97, 19.560±6.14 mg/dl. In the ETE group, respectively; It was recorded as 23.890±7.95, 23.578±8.88, 23.240±9.04, 23,000±8.76, 23.660±9.65, 23.460±9.20 mg/dl. When the results obtained between the groups according to time were compared statistically, it was not found significant (p>0.05). The findings obtained within the group were not found to be statistically significant (p>0.05). groups were compared statistically, it was found to be statistically insignificant (p>0.05). The findings between the groups were not statistically significant (p>0.05). In our country and in the world, there are very few studies that reveal the effects of LMA on organs and provide faster and more practical application in terms of supraglottic airway management and application in dogs. At the same time, this study is the first to evaluate the effects of LMA applied in dogs on hemogram, blood gas, comparison of vital values, consumption of anesthetic used and some biochemical parameters according to ETE. As a result, it was determined that LMA and ETE did not affect respiratory system functions, especially cardiovascular system, but ETE was more hypotensive than LMA. It was determined that both applications did not cause a significant change in blood gas, some hemogram and biochemical parameters. In this respect, we believe that further studies demonstrating the safety of LMA in dogs will enable the widespread use of supraglottic airway management as in humans, expand its use by our clinical colleagues, and also make significant contributions to science.
