Abstract (EN)

The deficiencies of the formation will be determined by studying the historical development of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and will try to determine whether these deficiencies are related to the existing problems in the GCC. It will be inferred whether the diversification policies, put into effect in a transformation process by the oil income dependent member states of the GCC, due to price shocks with forced negative consequences will be successful or not. After touching on the development process of the economic relations between Turkey and the GCC member states, the factors that play a decisive role in economic relations especially Turkey's foreign policy with the region will be determined. Current economic relations with the GCC member countries will be examined by focusing on foreign trade, investment and banking sector, construction and real estate sector, energy sector and tourism sector. Finally, the findings of the research process of economic relations with GCC member states and the estimates of how development course will be shown in the future considering Turkey's energy dependency will be inferred.
