Abstract (EN)

The new coronavirus disease, which broke out in the People's Republic of China towards the end of 2019, took its place in the chronology of epidemic diseases and was declared a pandemic in a short time by the World Health Organization. The new coronavirus disease, which is also briefly described as Covid-19, has affected all states from many different aspects, especially in social, cultural, political, demographic and economic dimensions, regardless of development. Based on this information, the aim of the study is to reveal the effects of the coronavirus pandemic at the individual and societal level. For this purpose, quantitative research method was used to measure the individual and social effects of the coronavirus pandemic, and the survey technique was used as a data collection tool. The population of the study consisted of individuals living in the city centers of Antalya, Burdur and Isparta within the scope of the Western Mediterranean region. The questionnaire developed by the researcher was applied to individuals aged 18 and over in the population using the quota sampling method. Within the scope of the face-to-face field research, 413 people were reached, except those who were excluded from the population for various reasons. Various results were obtained after the coding and analysis of the data. In this direction, it has been seen that the Covid-19 pandemic has changed the individual and social practices of life. In addition, it has been understood that the pandemic brings with it high-level negative effects in terms of social, psychological and economic dimensions. It has been determined that the social effects of the pandemic have higher expression values than the individual effects, as another result reached within the scope of the research. In addition, some differences were found between the groups in the tests performed between individual and social impact expressions and other variables.
