Abstract (EN)

The coronavirus epidemic is interpreted as a crisis and disaster situation that has affected the whole world in a short time, caused the life to stop in many countries, caused the loss of millions of people's lives and the deterioration of the physical and mental health of billions of people. It is seen that the effects of this epidemic crisis have affected many sectors and industries, as well as greatly affecting restaurant businesses. It is observed that the effects of the coronavirus epidemic crisis are still strongly felt and there are uncertainties about the future. The main purpose of the study; It was carried out to determine the effects of the coronavirus epidemic crisis and post-crisis expectations of restaurant businesses operating in Marmaris. In this study, in which a qualitative research model was used, semi-structured interviews were conducted with a total of 25 people, including restaurant managers, restaurant owners and restaurant partners, in order to reveal different perspectives. The data were subjected to content analysis. Restaurant businesses have stated that they have suffered serious losses due to the coronavirus epidemic and have expressed their concerns about the coming days. However, their opinions expressing the expectations they need in order to overcome these losses were analyzed and compiled. Of the study; it is expected to contribute to restaurant operators, decision makers and other researchers who are considering working in this field.
