Abstract (EN)

Aim: This study was conducted to investigate whether the sleep quality, comfort level and the factors affecting these variables differ depending on the use of sandbag and Close Pad device after coronary angiography. Materials and Method: This comparative and cross-sectional study was conducted with 210 patients (sandbag: 105 Close Pad: 105) who underwent coronary angiography in the coronary intensive care and cardiology service. Datas has been collected with using the Introductory Features Form, Coronary Angiography Follow-up. Results: The Average comfort scores of patients, in patients using Close Pad(4.02) was found higher than those who use sandbags (3.8). It has been observed that pain negatively affected comfort in patients both using Close Pad and sand bags. It has been observed that the mobilization affected the comfort of patients using only sandbags and mobilized patients were found to have higher comfort. The average sleep scores of patients use Close Pad(57.18) was higher than patients use sandbag(51.99). Pain, long surgical procedure time, large hematoma size was found to be adversely affected sleep quality of patients using sandbags. Continuous drug use was found to be adversely affected sleep quality in both groups. Conclusion: It has been observed that Sandbag and Close Pad use in patients who have undergone coronary angiography affects sleep quality and patient comfort. Comfort and sleep quality levels in Close pad users were found to be higher than the sand bag users. Keywords: Coronary Angiography, Sandbag, Close Pad, Comfort, Sleep
