Evaluation of open and minimally invasive technique in coronary artery bypass surgery in terms of haemodynamic parameters

Abstract (EN)

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate open and minimally invasive techniques in coronary artery bypass surgery in terms of haemodynamic parameters. Materials and Methods: A total of 51 patients, 28 of whom underwent minimally invasive CABG and 23 of whom underwent standard CABG, were included in the study. When the gender distribution was compared in both groups, 82.1% of patients who underwent minimally invasive CABG were male and 17.9% were female, while 65.2% of patients who underwent standard CABG were male and 34.8% were female. Immediately after the patients were admitted to the intensive care unit after coronary bypass surgery, femoral or radial arterial catheterisation was performed with Most Care Up monitoring and 6-hour paramatre measurements were taken without extubation under anaesthesia. Cardiac output (CO), Cardiac power output (CPO), Cardiac cycle efficiency (CCE), Left ventricular systolic function (dP/dtmax) were analysed from the archive patient file. Results: The independent sample t-test performed to determine whether there was a difference in the haemodynamic parameters of cardiac output (CO), cardiac power output, cardiac cycle efficiency (CCE) and left ventricular systolic function (dp/dtmax) in patients undergoing minimally invasive and standard CABG showed no significant difference between the groups. Conclusion: Considering the results obtained from our study, it was observed that minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting surgery was not significantly superior to standard coronary artery bypass surgery in terms of haemodynamic parameters.
