Abstract (EN)
Purpose: The aim of this study is to evaluate the distribution of postoperative infections to the regions and to make microorganisms identification and antibiotic sensitivity tests of culture materials' of patients who undervent cardiovascular surgery because of coronary artery disease. Methods: Seventy patients (22 females, 48 males) who referred to Adiyaman University School of Medicine Educational and Research Hospital (between July 2014-February 2015) for cardiovascular surgery because of coronary artery disease were performed. From patients cultivation of blood, tracheal aspirate, mediastinal/thoracal drainage material and urine samples performed. Identification of isolated microorganisms made by classical bacteriologic techniques with Bd Phoenix™ 100. Findings: From 70 patients, in 6 (%8,6) patients total 7 developed an attack of infection. Common infections; respiratory tract infection 2(%2,8), urinary tract infection 4 (5.7%), and organ/space infection 1 (1.4%) was seen as. The most common microorganisms were Escherichia coli. The most resistant microorganisms were E. Coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae infections. Result: In consideration of these results, new prevention plans must be developed to prevent and decrease the rate of infections and in-service (in-house) training programs emphasised.
