Abstract (EN)
Media has the power of molding - directing public opinion in social and political issues. The language used by the journalists during their performance of their occupational activities, their ideological tendencies and their world of mentality may play an important role.In this study, the social, political and psychological backgrounds of the language used in their columns are determined. It is decided that the study is convincing as it is important regarding its presentation showing how language and style are affecting-directing public in terms of ideology and political trends such as secularism, conservatism, liberalism, republicanism, nationalism. For this reason, the columns of five different columnists about e-cahier have been analyzed by discourse analysis method. Key Words: 1. Ideology and Media 2. Molding – Directing Public opinion 3.
