Abstract (EN)

Research on the design of new organic photovoltaic devices (PV) has gain enormous interest in order to convert solar energy efficiently into renewable energy sources. Targeting high efficiency of photovoltaic devices, new perylene based electron donor-acceptor (D-A) conjugate system consisting of multi-components or hybrid materials have been developed. Within the scope of the thesis, the substitution of the PDI in the bay-positions resulted in the disruption of planar structure to afford less aggregated and more soluble derivatives in the solvents. As bridging ligands symmetric and unsymmetric PDI derivatives have been synthesized by imidization with using as a monodentate ligand 4-aminopyridine and 1-(3-aminopropyl)imidazole and as a bidentate ligand 5-amino-1,10-phenanthroline ligands, respectively. Hybrid materials with very interesting optic, photophysical and electrochemical properties have been developed by supramolecular assembly of the bridging ligands with Pt(II) and Pd(II) d8 ions that having preference for a square-planar geometry. All compounds have been characterized by FT-IR (ATR), MALDI-TOF-MS or ESI-MS, 1D-NMR (1H NMR and 13C DEPT NMR), 2D NMR (1H-1H COSY NMR, 1H-13C HSQC NMR, 1H-13C HMBC NMR), UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy.
