Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to compare and evaluate the shampoo formulations we have developed with two different shampoo formulations available in the market in terms of physicochemical properties and quality. Characterization and three-month stability studies of the formulations developed for this purpose and the products supplied from the market were carried out. The two shampoo formulations we have developed contain St. John's Wort oil and lavender hydrolate. Maintaining the health of the scalp and cleaning is the main target of the formulations developed. Centaury oil and lavender hydrolate are products used in scalp care. As a result of the study, it has been determined that herbal shampoo formulations containing natural ingredients that we have developed show similar properties with shampoo formulations that have been on the market for years in terms of hair and scalp health and cleaning capacity. In addition, the presence of natural substances shows that it has the potential to contribute to hair care. As a result of the 3-month stability test of the formulations, no significant difference (p>0.05) was observed in appearance, pH, cleaning action test, soil distribution and percent weight of solid content.
