Abstract (EN)

Cosmetics industry has become an rapidly growth industry around the world and creating a large market. Although the products in this sector are not included in the basic needs group, they are frequently used by different age, gender and economic income groups in daily life. The main purpose of this study is to determine the change in the use of cosmetic products according to age, gender and income groupsand the amount of money spent on cosmetic products, which products within the scope of cosmetics are allocated more, the budget allocated for the services received from beauty centers. This study is a field study aimed at determining the frequency of using cosmetic products and how much money they spend on these products by customers who receive service from beauty centers in the city center of Batman in the Southeastern Anatolia region. According to the results of the study, it was learned that as the frequency of receiving services from beauty centers increased, the purchase of cosmetic products from outside increased. Batman province is a province with significant opportunities in the cosmetics sector with its high population potential. For this reason, it is expected that the research on spending trends throughout the province will be useful in understanding the economy and socio-economic structure of the province
