Abstract (EN)

Until the 5th century Hijri, the study of Qıraat was carried out according to the method of infirâd, with a separate khateem for each imam. However, this method took a long time and decreased the demand for the science of Qıraat with the change of time and conditions. The indirâc method, which emerged in response to such a need, was a turning point in Qıraat education, as it enabled reading in a shorter time and in a practical way. This system, which allows one to recite all the wajihs in a single khateem, is still practiced today. The application of the indirâc method, which is unique to our country, is accompanied by the practice of kürrâse. In this method, the student records the wajihs of the lesson he will recite in special notebooks called kurrâse according to the information he obtains from the source books. This method, which has a certain systematics and unique procedures, constitutes the main backbone of Qıraat education in our country. The advent, advantages and disadvantages of this method, which is not used in other countries, constitute the essence of this study. The fact that there has not been any study on the tradition of kurrâse so far is among the main reasons that led us to this subject. While preparing the subject, the traces of the kürrase books were followed and the oldest manuscripts in the libraries were tried to be shown. Again, the effects of the system on the teaching of Qıraat were discussed by interviewing teachers who have been teaching in Turkey for many years and students who are still in the process of education. In this context, the changes in the use of kürrâse, the reasons that led to this system, and its current status were emphasized. As a result, the benefits of this system such as familiarizing students with the spelling of the Mushaf, facilitating the presentation of the lesson, and recording the wujuhāt with the help of sample currices were considered. On the other hand, its disadvantages such as weakening the Qıraat education based on memorization throughout history, ignoring important issues related to the science of Qıraat and ulūm al-Qur'ān, and paving the way for studying Qıraat despite the lack of Arabic have been identified. It also caused some important problems such as reading lessons from ready-made kürrâse and not going to the sources. In this study, the kurrâses system is evaluated with its positive and negative aspects and some suggestions are presented. Key Words: Qıraat, Education, Infirâd, Indirâc, Kurrase
