A comparison of the understanding effect of qirā'āt difference (An example of Tā'wilāt and Kashshāf)

Some of the verses of the Qur'ān have different meanings structurally. Exegetes show maximum effort with their personal knowledge and their experience while trying to determine the real message of the rubric address. In this regard, Māturīdī (d.d 333/944), Tā'wilāt al-Qur'ān, Zamaḫsharī (d.d 538/1144) make use of the science of Qirā'āt in his commentary, Kashshāf. The sources using the method dirāyah are Ḥanafī and Mu'tazīlī, the pinnacle treatise of thought as a creed. In this regard, it is tried to determine the similar and different approaches by comparing the condition of using Qirā'āt in the tafsir of Māturīdī and Zamaḫsharī over the same verses. In the first chapter, general information is given about the lives of commentators and the science of Qirā'āt. In the second chapter, the procedure of conveying Qirā'āt is compared. In the last chapter, the semantic approaches to the Qirā'āt are compared. In this study, the ways in which Māturīdī and Zamaḫsharī deal with the differences of Qirā'āt in the verses are explained after the verses are given with their wording and meaning. Evolution is made about the approaches of the commentators to the verse in terms of Qirā'āt and meaning by using the differences in the Qirā'āt in the relevant verse and determining the type of Qirā'āt with the property of mutawātir-shādh. The purpose of using the difference of Qirā'āt in terms of the method is examined in titles such as the methods of conveying the Qirā'āt by the commentators, the types of Qirā'āt they respect, the names they attribute to the Qirā'āt and the semantic approaches are examined in the titles such as the purpose of using the differences in Qirā'āt, the interpreting the verses with Qirā'āt, the reasons for preferring and criticizing Qirā'āt, the relation of Qirā'āt, Siyāq and Sibāq. In general, it is understood in the research that Māturīdī who become prominent with his ta'wil explain the types of using Qirā'āt as semantic and Zamaḫsharī who is a linguist explains by using Arabic language uses and rules. As a result, it is understood that there are similarities and differences between the use of Qirā'āts by Māturīdī and Zamaḫsharī.
