The infirād case in Qirāʾat science: The analysis of Abū ʿAmr al-Dānī's work named al-Tahdhīb Limā Tafarrada Bihī Kullu Vāḥidin Min al-Qurrāʾ al-Sabʿa

In this study, the book of al-Dānī -who is the most prominent scholar in the qirāʾat science- al-Tahdhīb limā tafarrada bihī kullu vāḥidin min al-qurrāʾ al-sabʿa is evaluated in term of "infirād" concept in qirāʾat science. At the same time the study aims that to reveal the areas in which the concept of "infirād" is used in the science of qirāʾat and to evaluate the book of al-Tahdhīb which is based in this concept. The interaction of basic Islamic Sciences with each other is an undeniable fact. This interaction is also reflected in some terms used in science branches. In this regard, it is seen that some of the concepts used in hadith science, which is a narrate-based science, are used in the science of Qirāʾat, although their contents do not overlap exactly. It is important to reveal the relationship between the concept of infirād/tafarrud, which is one of these concepts, with the concept of individual, which is used in the science of hadith, and to determine the usage area of infirād in Qirāʾat science. It is important to examine and introduce this work, which is one of the very rare and original works based on this concept in the field of Qirāʾat, and which is not yet sufficiently known by our country's Qirāʾat scholars. In this study, firstly, the definition and historical course of the science of qirāʾat, and then Dānī's life, his works and his contribution to the science of qirāʾat are revealed. In the analysis of the work named al-Tahdhīb, the different readings of the seven imams of qirāʾat, together with the content of the work, are given in the form of tables. In the tables with the reading of each qirāʾat imam, the characteristics of the qirāʾat's Imams and narrators are mentioned and the characteristics of the prominent readers of that imam are added to the end of the table. The study is completed with a conclusion.
