Abstract (EN)
This Master's thesis comparatively examines how the Qira'at (canonical readings of the Qur'an) are utilized in the Tafsirs (Qur'anic exegesis) "Zâdü'l-Mesîr" by Ibn al-Jawzi and "Kashshaf" by Zamakhshari. The research fundamentally employs qualitative methods to determine and analyze the variations of Qira'at and their implications within the texts of both Tafsirs. Ibn al-Jawzi, deeply rooted in Hadith and Tafsir sciences, interprets variations in Qira'at through traditional narratives, whereas Zamakhshari, with his command over language and rhetoric, places significant emphasis on linguistic analyses. The interpretations of Qira'at in both Tafsirs contribute to the understanding of Qira'at diversity in Islamic sciences and highlight the methodological differences, showcasing the richness and diversity of the field. The findings demonstrate how Ibn al-Jawzi and Zamakhshari address Qira'at through different methodologies and how these approaches are reflected in their Tafsirs. Additionally, the contributions of both Tafsirs to the science of Qira'at are assessed, establishing their unique positions within the Islamic exegetical literature.
