Abstract (EN)

In my research, it was aimed to find out the level of conscious of urban belonging on rural settlers, who reside at the avenue of Mevlana located in Sancaktepe, borough of Istanbul, and to learn impact of economic, demographic, and social factors on conscious of urban belonging. Variables such as age, gender, marriage status, profession, education, income level and duration of stay in urban areas and their influence on conscious of urban belonging were studied. Additionally, a survey which has forty ?five questions was conducted face to face with the group of 200 people who resides at avenue of Mevlana, and several interviews were also held with seven individuals to have more ideas about their conscious of urban belonging. All data found after the study was evaluated with SPPS statistic program. Based on findings, rural settlers have low level of. conscious of urban belonging It was also found that the impact of demographic, economic and social factors on conscious of urban belonging is high.
