Abstract (EN)
İn this thesis, beliefs of Kirgiz Turks? before and after İslam has been analyzed in regard of the ?How that cult effekts on their perception of daily life?? guestion. Firstly at our work, Kirgiz beliefs until İslam such as Sky God, Ancestors? Cult, Baksi Cult, Nature Cult and trace of Totem have been defined and sampled under the ?Religion and Cult at Kirgiz Turks? title for deepen the argument. İn addition; the religious life of Kirgiz nation has been examinrd elaborately from the archais era to the modern life with İslam today. Especially the adversity of Kirgiz people on their religious ceremonies which are the important part of Kirgiz?s culture life have been circumstantiated by giving some examples from epics like MANAS. İn addition to this the importance of ancestors soul and ancestors tombs has been defined for to see effect on folk literature. Ancestors tombs, altars and the beliefs about them have been featured in comparison with past and present time. Moreover how the sait cult takes place today?s Kirgiz verbal culture has been analyzed. Eventually, it has been concluded from the soures mentioned above that even though Kirgiz Turks, as the anceient nation of Central Asia experienced important social and political chances; they managed to protect and transfer their national and cultural identity, domestic values and religious to the posterity.
