Throughout history, many crisis and disaster events have occurred that affect the lives of individuals and communities. Crisis is a situation that disturbs the existing order and creates tension in human settlements. There are many factors that cause crises to occur. Among these factors, disaster events are most effective. Our country is inviting many natural disasters, especially earthquakes, due to its geopolitical location. Natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, avalanches or different types of disasters such as technological and human-origin disasters occur. Disasters interrupt individuals' current situation and activities for a short or long term and face huge losses financially and morally on the lives of humans and other living things. A systematic, planned and effective crisis and disaster management is required in order to minimize these losses and to identify natural or artificial disasters that will pose a second threat, to take necessary measures, to prevent damage as much as possible and to prevent possible losses. This study titled "An Example Of CSO In Crısıs and Dısaster Management; The Turkısh Kızılay" minimizes the negative and bad effects, and loss of life and property, on individuals and societies who could not meet their basic needs in order to continue their lives due to the crisis and disaster events that occurred in the national and international arena. It is a research that examines the studies conducted for the purpose of. In this context, firstly, crisis and disaster management are handled separately in the conceptual framework, crisis and disaster management processes, their classification, direct and indirect effects are explained, and what are the stages of crisis and disaster management. The formation, objectives, activities and characteristics of CSOs, which are voluntary organizations operating in order to meet and support the needs of disaster victims who are victimized in crisis and disaster events, are explained. In our country, information is given about some CSOs operating in the context of crisis and disaster management. The Turkısh Kızılay, which is included among them and which is handled within the study, operating in the national and international arena, is examined. Within the scope of the study, literature review, many document analysis and the official website of The Turkısh Kızılay have been examined. The principles, values, duties and other activities of The Turkısh Kızılay are mentioned. Kızılay conducts aid activities to disaster victims due to disasters occurring at home and abroad, contributes to search-rescue and improvement activities, prepares training programs according to disaster preparation and intervention, contributes to local and regional and international organizations within the scope of disaster response. It plays important roles by conducting campaigns for in-kind and cash aid donations for citizens in need of humanitarian aid and disaster victims.
