Abstract (EN)

Our country, which has a culturally rich accumulation, is an important region that has been the center of civilizations for thousands of years, containing cultural phenomena that are literally treasures. The way our nation keeps its traditions alive reveals itself with different characteristics from region to region, and each of them turns into a rich cultural asset that differs from each other. The fact that cultural diversity appears in many different forms is the biggest indicator of this. Considering the cultural phenomena that differ from region to region, it becomes evident that the unique cultural assets of each region should be meticulously examined, researched and transferred to future generations. In this context, in order to have detailed information about the music culture of a region, it is important to examine the names that have contributed to the music culture of that region, both to recognize the local music and to introduce the values that have served folk music. Our study titled "Style and Attitude Characteristics of Kırıkkaleli Nuh Akgün's Vocal Performances" has not been found in any written research about Nuh Akgün and Akgün's performances differ from the important local artists known in Kırıkkale Music Culture in terms of style and attitude, but his name is preserved in the local music culture. It was chosen with the thought that it should be investigated among important local artists. In this research, it is aimed to examine the style and attitude characteristics of Nuh Akgün, who is accepted as one of the important representatives of folk music, bozlak and long airs other than bozlak in Kırıkkale region in terms of local music, in the works he performed, to determine the differences he put forward on his own behalf and to examine the data obtained from these determinations. In order to understand the local music culture for the research, fieldwork was carried out in the environments where local music was performed, published works of Nuh Akgün, related written and visual sources were scanned, interviews were held with Hakan Akgün, the son of Nuh Akgün, the data obtained from various audio sources were transcribed and the findings obtained were analyzed and the data that were thought to be suitable for our purpose were used in our study.
