Özet (EN)
In this thesis, Physics and Chemistry Applications of Infrared Free Electron Laser, firstly Free Electron Laser (FEL) and FEL physics have been explained generally. FELs have some advantages compared to conventional lasers, thanks to these advantages physics and chemistry applications have been investigated by IR-FEL.The result of investigations carried out, by using FELs physics and chemistry applications have been determined. When these applications in terms of physics such as condensed matter physics, solid state physics, surface physics, plasma physics, nanotechnology applications, at the chemistry; photochemistry, mode selective chemistry, isotope separation, thin-film production, spectroscopy and microscopy applications have been explained. To carry out these applications, Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD), Infrared Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Mass Spectrometry (IR MALDI MS), Infrared Matrix Assisted Pulsed Laser Evaporation (IR MAPLE), Infrared-Resonance-Enhanced-Multiphoton-Ionization (REMPI), Surface-enhanced laser desorption/ionization (SELDI MS), Infrared Free ElectronLaser Photo-acoustic spectroscopy (FEL PAS) used at these applications also have been explained.
