SUMMARYTHE SITUATION OF BNP LEVELS AT MEDİCAL TREATMENT OFASCİTES IN CHRONIC LIVER DISEASE OF PARENCHYMA (CIRRHOSIS)Introduction and aim: It has been shown that cirrhosis induces findings andsymptoms by affecting multipl organs and systems. Therefore plasma BNP levels hasbeen increased in cirrhosis because of haemodynamic circulation. Degree of ascites canbe affected from the levels of BNP in cirrhosis, independent of cardiac dysfunction, weaimed to evaluate the BNP levels in cirrhotic patients with degree of ascites fluid.Materials and Methods: The fourthy eight (48) cirrhotic patients included toour study. Cirrhotic patients and ascitic fluids in abdomen that their plasma BNP levelshave evaluated at initially and after control mean treatment of three months.Results: BNP levels of initially and control of cirrhotic patients with ascitesfluids were found significantly higher (at initially group<0.0001 and control groupp<0.01) (Table 2). Additionally in initially group to taken diuretic therapy and incontrols that their ascitic fluids had been continued on their plasma BNP levels werefound significantly increased (204,64 ± 51,47 pg/ml p<0,0001 at initially group and119,86 ± 18,37 pg/ml p<0,0001 at control group). Besides cirrhotic patients came tocontrol degree of ascitic fluids diminished at six patient, remained on the same plane asat four patients and disappeared at nine cirrhotic patient. Plasma BNP levels of theirpatients with degree of ascitic fluids indicated changeability. As for to taken diuretictherapy in group of patients with increased ascitic fluids of their plasma BNP levels hasbeen increased but with fluid level didn?t show parallelism (p>0.05) (Table 3).Conclusion: At beginning group of cirrhotic patient plasma BNP levels werefound significantly to be increased. In cirrhotic patient had been occured that betweendegree of ascite fluids and plasma BNP levels were releated more significant. Aftermedical treatment of ascitic fluid, plasma BNP levels of patients came to controlshowed changeability that connected with degree of ascitic fluid. As for group increasedof ascitic fluid levels that their plasma BNP levels were found to be increased but thisincreased didn?t significant.Key Word: BNP, Cirrhosis, Ascites.22
