Abstract (EN)
In this study, fiber reinforced bricks were produced by using glass fiber with 6 mm and 12 mm length and polypropylene fiber with 6 mm, 12 mm and 19 mm length. Glass fiber and polypropylene fiber were added to the clay soil in proportion of 0% (without additives), 0.5%, 1% and 1.5% by weight. oven-baked and unbaked bricks were produced from glass fiber mixtures. Polypropylene fibers were used to produce unbaked bricks. Volume reduction, density, compressive strengths and bending loads of these samples were determined. As a result of the study, it has been observed that as the rate of additive increases in the samples with polypropylene and glass fiber additives, the compressive strength and bending damage loads of the samples increased, but in baked samples the compressive strengths and flexural damage loads decreased as the additive ratio increased. It was seen that the volume reduction and density decreased with the increase of the additive ratio of glass fiber and polypropylene fiber in unbaked samples. In baked samples the volume reduction increased but a significant change was not observed in the density.
