Evaluation of elevators in Kirsehir in terms of new generation safety

In this thesis study, the working principles of safety components used in elevators are explained in detail, and the necessary regulations and additions for the system to operate in a healthy and safe manner are presented with their justifications. All technical equipment has been examined in a clear and comprehensible way and explained with supporting visuals. Within this scope, the periodic inspection results of elevators located in the city center of Kırşehir for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024 have been analyzed, and the obtained data have been evaluated. The deficiencies identified during the inspections were classified according to their level of risk to safety as defect-free, minor defective, defective, and major defective. Although some minor defects are considered low-risk, they may pose significant hazards in terms of occupational safety and passenger security. Therefore, a special evaluation was conducted regarding the impact of minor defects on overall system safety. In addition, an elevator installed in a newly constructed building in the city center of Kırşehir was examined in detail, covering all processes from the project phase to licensing and registration. This case study was supported with calculations and technical drawings to present a comprehensive application example.
